Small Oak Longcase Clock

A small (just over 6 feet high) late 17th Century style longcase clock made about 1910. It has a square hood, flanked by barley twist columns, a long glazed door and turned bun feet. The brass dial has a silvered chapter ring, a matted centre and cherub spandrels. The high quality 8 day regulator movement (a much higher grade than normal for this type of clock) has a dead beat escapement maintaining power when wound and strikes the hours on a bell.

  • Condition The case is in good original condition, the movement has been fully serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months. Originally this clock would have sounded the 1/4s , which has been disconnected in the past(now it just sounds the hours and halves only).
