Oak Cottage Longcase Clock

An attractive, well proportioned oak longcase clock. It has a shaped pediment, hood side pillars and a long door with a shaped base. The 12 inch dial is signed by the maker, Holmes of Guildford. It has an 30 hour duration movement, that sounds the hours on a bell. (which will run for 3 days if the strike is not active). John Holmes is listed as a maker 1828-1839.
