Regency Mahogany Drop Dial Wall Clock
REF: 166322
A nicely proportioned wall clock, that has a convex curved base box. The outer mahogany rim has a cast brass bezel, and a the base box has curl figured veneers, and a base door for the pendulum regulation. It has a white enamel dial signed by the maker John Thwaites of Clerkenwell, London. It has an 8 day fusee movement with an anchor escapement. This movement, although signed by John Thwaites on the face plate appears to be from a slightly earlier date that than the clock itself, although the dial feet etc align perfectly.
