Large Industrial Factory Wall Clock

A substantial 23 inch diameter factory wall clock dating to the second half of the 19th Century. It has a turned mahogany rim with a rectangular back box. The 18 inch diameter dial is signed by the makers Gaunt and Sons of Barnsley. It has an 8 day A frame plate chain fusee movement that is wound and set from the rear by a hinge opening case. Benjamin Gaunt is listed as a maker in Barnsley in 1871.
