fine Westminster chime walnut wall clock

A very good quality French wall clock. It has a solid walnut case with an arched top and carved cresting, and an inverted pad base with a carved panel. The pendulum is visible through a shaped bevel edge glass window with ornate eschucheon and key. The enamel dial has an embossed bezel and is signed F. de Saintilan, Paris. It has an 8 day movement which has Westminster (Big Ben) chimes on the quarters and double French hour striking on the hours.It has a wood rod pendulum with a brass cylinder bob.
