An 8 inch diameter terrestrial " book of knowledge Globe" denoting the British Empire (listed as British Possessions!) in red, steamer distances and railway routes. It has a brass half meridian and a turned ebonised base. Dated to 1929 as Rhodesia is one country (pre 1928) and Constantinople is listed (Istanbul post 1930).
