A good mahogany circular wall clcok. It has a mahogany case with a slim outer wooden rim and a cast brass bezel, a convex glass and a convex painted dial. The outer pegged case has a bottom and side door. The 8 day fusee movement has shaped plates and a large brass bob pendulum The dial is signed by the maker, Quafe of Battle.

  • Provenance Thomas Quafe of Battle, Sussex, was born in 1806 and worked in Battle 1833-1859.
  • Condition The case has had minor repairs over the years, including a replacement bottom door. The dial has been professionally restored, preserving the original ground, the brass bezel has been polished and lacquered so it will not tarnish. The movement has been serviced and is guaranteed for 12 months.
