Scottish Oak and Inlay Balloon Clock

An impressive Edwardian balloon clock, having an oak case, cross-banded with rosewood and boxwood stringing and having a central inlaid thistle motif. It has a convex enamel dial with a convex bevel edge glass. The 8 day gong striking pendulum movement sounds the hours and halves on a gong which was made by F Marti of Paris.
