Regency Arch Top Mahogany Bracket Clock

A mahogany and brass inlaid bracket clock by Thwaites and Reed. This fine clock dates from the Regency period, it has figure mahogany case that is inlaid with brass. The arch case has side fish scale fret panels and brass loop handles and substantial brass ball feet. The convex dial is in original condition and is signed by the makers Thwaites & Reed of Clerkenwell, London. It has an 8 day twin fusee movement with an engraved backplate with a repeat cord (to strike the last hour when pulled). This clock also has a strike/silent feature at the top of the dial and pendulum locking bar for transportation.
