Miniature Walnut Bracket Clock By Clockmaker To The King

A delightful miniature walnut bracket clock in the Mid 18th Century style, made around 1920-30, in the reign of George V. It has a brass carrying handle a caddy top and brass ogee bracket feet. The arch dial has a a silvered chapter ring and gilt spandrels, within the arch it is signed by the makers Charles Frodsham, Clockmaker to H M The King. It has an 8 day platform movement. Please note this is a small clock of diminutive proportions.

Charles Frodsham (15 April 1810 - 11 January 1871) was a distinguished English horologist, establishing the firm of Charles Frodsham & Co, which remains in existence as the longest continuously trading firm of chronometer manufacturers in the world.
