Large Bell Striking Four Glass Clock

An impressive French four glass clock, dating to the late 1800s. It has a polished brass case, with thick bevel edge glass panels. The two piece enamel dial has a Brocot visible escapement, and a sealed, mercury filled pendulum. The 8 day movement sounds the hours and halves on a bell,and is stamped CH.Val 2702 (Attributed to LeChevallier of Saint-Nicholas-dAliermont).
