French Rosewood Bell Striking Mantel Clock

A fine French mantel clock, having a rosewood case, inlaid with brass stringing and reeded canted corners. It has a brass beaded bezel with a convex glass,moon hands and an enamel dial with slender Roman numeral. The 8 day hour and half hour bell striking movement has a silk suspension and is stamped by the maker, Vincenti of Paris and is stamped for the retailers Thomas Cox, and is numbered 1719
