French Rosewood and Inlay Mantel Clock

A fine, small bell striking inlaid mantel clock made by Henri Marc. It has a waisted rosewood case, with fine inlay of flora, hoho birds and a shell, which is decorated with line penwork. It has a thick bevel edge glass and a fine gilded, embossed bezel. The enamel dial is signed by the original retailer, Rithies of Edinburgh. It has an 8 day movement with a silk suspension and locking plate count,that sounds the hours and halves on a bell. The movement is stamped Hry Marc, Paris 10504
