French Rosewood and Inlay Mantel Clock

A French Louis XVI style mantel clock dating to the mid 19th Century. It has a rosewood veneered case with floral marquetry on the sides and front and has applied ormolu decoration. The enamel dial has a convex glass and Roman numerals with Arabic five minute markers.
The 8 day movement sounds the hours and halves on a gong and is marked A & N ( for the retailers Army and Navy stores).
