A heavy gilt ormolu French mantel clock. It has a Rococo style case embellished with floral decoration and acanthus swags. It has a silvered engine turned dial with Roman numerals. It has an 8 day bell striking movement with a silk suspension, made by Pons, and stamped with a gold medal for 1827. It is also marked by the original retailer, Dupont a Paris.
