A good quality Paris made four glass clock dating to the mid 19th Century. It has a a rectangular case with thick bevel edge glass sides. The white enamel dial signed by the maker Rodanet of Paris. The 8 day movement strikes the hours and halves on a bell and has a mercury filled compensating pendulum. Julien Hilaire was born in 1810 and died in 1884. He is described as an eminent maker of watches and chronometers
