Fine Small Striking Mahogany Mantel Clock

A fine small,solid mahogany mantel clock in excellent original condition. It has a break arch top case with side handles and ogee bracket feet. The case is inlaid with satinwood shell and boxwood stringing. It has a convex bevel edge glass and an enamel dial signed by the original retailer, Maples & Co of Tottenham Court Road, London. It has a French eight day movement that strikes the hours and halves on a gong and was made by Marti of Paris.
