Fine George III Mahogany Bracket Clock

A fine and very original, George III mahogany London made bracket clock. It has a break arch top case with a brass carrying handle, inset brass sight ring, brass ogee bracket feet and bras fishscale fret sides. The finely engraved silvered dial is signed by the make George Younge, Strand, London.

The twin fusee movement strikes the hours on bell and has an engraved backplate with a pendulum holdfast for transportation.



George Younge is listed as as a fine maker1776-1815 and has a watch in The Greenwich museum.
