Fine Edwardian Mahogany and Inlay Bracket Clock

A very fine late Victorian solid mahogany bracket clock. It has a break arch top case, with brass finials, quartered side pillars and brass ball feet.

The case is inlaid with boxwood stringing, and a satinwood shell. It has a heavy brass bezel with a convex bevel edge glass, and a convex enamel dial, which is signed by the original retailer, Hamilton & Inches of Edinburgh. It has an 8 day French movement that strikes the hours and halves on a gong which was made by Vincenti.The movement is numbered 2357 as is the original pendulum.
