An early 20th Century solid mahogany striking bracket clock. It has a traditional break arch case, with a brass carrying handle, canted corners and brass ogee bracket feet. The front panel is inlaid with a satinwood shell and boxwood stringing. It has a 5 diameter enamel dial with a convex glass. The French 8 day movement sounds the hours and halves on a gong and was sold by Grimshaw & Baxter and Elliott.
