Burr Oak Bracket Clock

An imposing burr oak bracket clock dating to the first half of the 19th Century. It has a Gothic arch case, of simple form with a plinth base with chamfered corner plate feet. It has a 7 inch diameter silvered dial with a fine brass bezel and is engraved by the maker Adams of Lombard street, London. It has twin fusee movement that sounds the hours on a bell. Nathaniel Adams is listed as working in 1839
