Small Mahogany Chamfer Top Bracket Clock

A fine small example of a late Georgian Mahogany chamfer top bracket clock dating to the early 19th Century. It has a traditional chamfer top surmounted by a pineapple finial., inset brass edged quadrants, brass carrying handles and brass fishscale fret side panels. It has a 6 inch convex painted dial and a convex glass. The dial is signed by the original makers Gravel and Son, London. It has an 8 day fusee timepiece (doses not strike) pendulum movement, with a holdfast screw for the pendulum. William Gravel and Son are listed as working 1828-63. The clock comes complete with two keys, one for winding and one forr the lockable bezel and back door as seen in photos.
