Mid Victorian Drumhead Visible Escapement Mantel Clock

An impressive oak drumhead mantel clock dating to the mid 19th century.The drum contains a bevel edge glass over a two piece enamel dial that has a jewelled brocot visible escapement . The base has a glazed front panel flanked by canted corners with carved decoration. The 8 day bell striking movement as a gridiron pendulum and was made by Marti of Paris
